Some FAQ's on Fluoride
WHAT MAKES FLUORIDE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS?
All water treatment chemicals, with the exception of fluoride, are added to make drinking water safe and pleasant to consume. Fluoride is the only chemical added to treat people who consume the water, rather than the water itself. Fluoridating water supplies can thus fairly be described as a form of mass medication, which is why most European countries have rejected the practice.
DO WE NEED FLUORIDE?
No. It is now well established that fluoride is not an essential nutrient. This means that no human disease – including tooth decay – will result from a “deficiency” of fluoride. Fluoridating water supplies is therefore different than adding iodine to salt. Unlike fluoride, iodine is an essential nutrient (the body needs iodine to ensure the proper functioning of the thyroid gland). No such necessity exists for fluoride.
WHAT COUNTRIES FLUORIDATE THEIR WATER?
Most developed nations in the world have rejected fluoridation, including 97% of western Europe. The United States, which fluoridates more than 70% of its water supplies, is an exception to this rule. According to the British Fluoridation Society, there are more people drinking artificially fluoridated water in the United States than all other countries combined.
DOES FLUORIDE OCCUR NATURALLY IN WATER?
As a general rule, the only fresh water with high levels of fluoride (other than waters polluted by fluoride-emitting industries) is water derived from deep wells. Rather than being something to celebrate, high levels of naturally occurring fluorides have wreaked havoc on tens of millions of people’s health around the world. People consuming water with naturally high levels of fluoride have been found to suffer serious health ailments including disfiguring tooth damage, bone disease, ulcers, reduced IQ, thyroid disease, and infertility. Because of this, international organizations like UNICEF assist developing nations in finding ways of removing fluoride from the water.
Thankfully, most fresh water supplies contain very low levels of fluoride.
(However as many Scientists explain, the most efficient way of accumulating any element (include toxicity) is through drinking water.)
WHERE DOES THE FLUORIDE ADDED TO WATER COME FROM?
The main chemicals used to fluoridate drinking water are known as “silicofluorides” (i.e., hydrofluorosilicic acid and sodium fluorosilicate). Silicofluorides are not pharmaceutical-grade fluoride products; they are unprocessed industrial by-products of the phosphate fertilizer industry. Since these silicofluorides undergo no purification procedures, they can contain elevated levels of arsenic — moreso than any other water treatment chemical. In addition, recent research suggests that the addition of silicofluorides to water is a risk factor for elevated lead exposure, particularly among residents who live in homes with old pipes.
DOES FLUORIDE NEED TO BE SWALLOWED IN ORDER TO PREVENT TOOTH DECAY?
NO. Although fluoridation of water was initially approved on the premise that swallowing fluoride is the most effective way to strengthen teeth, most dental researchers now concede that fluoride’s primary benefit comes from direct topical contact with the teeth, not from ingestion. There is no need to swallow fluoride to prevent tooth decay, whether in water or tablet form.
It is hard to overstate the importance of this point to the fluoride debate, particularly when considering thatfluoride’s risks come primarily from ingestion.

The Dangers of Fluoridated Water and Infants
Of all age groups, infants are the most vulnerable to fluoride toxicity. Due to their small size, infants receive up to 400% more fluoride (per pound of body weight) than adults consuming the same level of fluoride in water. Not only do infants receive a larger dose, they have an impaired ability to excrete fluoride through their kidneys. Healthy adults can excrete more than 50% of an ingested fluoride dose; infants, by contrast, can only excrete 15 to 20%. This leads to a greater build-up of fluoride in the body, and may help explain why infants fed formula made with fluoridated water suffer higher rates of dental fluorosis, a discoloration of the teeth caused by excessive fluoride ingestion during childhood.
Teeth are not the only tissue that can be affected by fluoride exposure during infancy. A baby’s blood brain barrier is not fully developed at birth, and this allows fluoride, a neurotoxin, greater access to the brain than in later periods in life. Over 30 studies have associated elevated fluoride exposure with neurological impairment in children, which may, in part, result from fluoride’s affect on the thyroid gland. In light of the serious nature of these effects, and the lack of benefit from pre-eruptive ingestion of fluoride, basic precautionary principles strongly counsel against exposing infants to any fluoride.
Concerns about the wisdom of supplementing an infant’s diet with fluoride are being voiced by even ardent pro-fluoride dental organizations. In 1994, the American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) reversed their decades-long policy of recommending that doctors prescribe fluoride supplements to newborn infants. While these organizations have refrained from taking the obvious step of recommending that fluoridated water not be be added to infant formula (a practice that exposes infants to nearly 4 times more fluoride than supplements) a growing number of prominent dental researchers have made this recommendation.

Fluoride is a highly dangerous cumulative toxin
Watch Dr Russel Blaylock's Youtube videos on Fluoride and how it ties into the truth about why it's still in our drinking water and dental products, despite the obvious negative health and diseases associated with it's accumulation in the human body.
If your question is "WHY WOULD THE GOVERNMENT AND HEALTH COMMUNITY ALLOW IT IF IT WASN'T SAFE?" ,,, then please ensure you listen from the beginning to the end of this video. It is explained in this Neurosurgeon's opinion quite in depth.

The Truth About Fluoride
http://www.greaterthings.com/Lexicon/F/Fluoride.htm
This article is a great read, however you must keep in mind that the link between the Nazi's fluoridating the water supply of Jews during the Second World War is one which has not been verified. It stands to reason that it was however, a possibility, especially considering the terrible history of Eugenics Projects in Germany at the height of the war (population reduction measures, experimental procedures and intentional sterilisations among other various Eugenics Experiments and ideals.)
We can only take this objectively, weighing it's probability and the arguement for this having occured, but let's not become distracted by the relevant information this Author and others provide regarding the true risks of Fluoridation of the Water supply and our personal products.
